Hand Painting our leaves and branches in photoshop.

Hi, I'm Lois and this is the first part in my four part series on how to create a hand painted Red Robin hedge using Photoshop, Blender and Substance Designer.

In this first part, we hand paint some leaves and branches in photoshop then export them.

In part 2, we model our hedge in Blender using geometry nodes.

In part 3, we take our hedge mesh and hand painted components into Substance Designer and use a mix of atlas splitters, scatter nodes and scatter on splines nodes to create our hedge texture.

In part 4, we take everything back into blender where we set up our new textures on the mesh along with environment lighting and then take a still and an animated render using Cycles.
