Dragon Age: Inquisition - "Way of the Tempest" Quest Guide
Once you obtain Skyhold, you'll be able to choose a specialization after a few quests. As a Rogue you can choose to become an Assassin, Artificer, or as shown in this video, a Tempest.
These specialization quests don't really tell you what to do exactly. This video will show you how to complete the "Way of the Tempest" quest to become an Tempest.
Aqcuire writing on Tempest methods: This is found on the table next to Sera in the Tavern.
Essence Containment Apparatuses: In Storm Coast are 3 locations where you can find a Demon accomponied by Spirits. The Demons will drop the containment apparatus.
Spirit Essence: Find any Rift and close it. Destroyed Rifts drop Spirit Essence.
Bottle of Smoke: Once you've obtained all the items go to a Requisition table and craft the Bottle of Smoke.
