📄 What Is a Page Break?
A page break forces text to continue on the next page — useful for:

• Creating controlled content flow in long documents
• Preventing text overflow from breaking at random points
🛠 Step-by-Step: How to Insert a Page Break in InDesign
✅ 1. Open Your Document
Launch Adobe InDesign and open the project where you want to insert the page break.
✅ 2. Select the Type Tool
Click on the Type Tool (T) from the left toolbar and place your cursor where the page break should happen in the flowing text.
🧠 Tip: Make sure the text is part of a threaded text frame that spans multiple pages.
✅ 3. Go to the Text Menu
Navigate to the top bar and go to:
Text Insert Break Character Page Break
🪄 This will immediately force the text that follows the cursor to flow into the next page of the threaded frame.
✅ 4. Confirm the Break
If your text frames are properly linked:
• The content after the break will appear at the top of the next page
• You’ll see a visible space where the break was inserted, often indicated by a hidden character (you can reveal it with Type Show Hidden Characters)
🧩 Bonus: Use Column and Frame Breaks Too
In addition to Page Breaks, InDesign also allows:
• Column Break: Forces text into the next column
• Frame Break: Moves text into the next threaded text frame
• Next Page or Next Frame: Depending on layout needs
