Speed and feed charts in paper catalogs are safe, but very conservative recommendations that do not take into consideration the specific machine tool, spindle and toolholder being used. Rely only on these and you will be underutilizing your machines capabilities by a significant amount. Also, note that most CAD/CAM systems use these charts for their speeds and feed data.
