Here are some of the typical distractions:
External distractions: These are distractions that come from outside of us, such as our phone, email, or social media.
Internal distractions: These are distractions that come from within us, such as our thoughts, feelings, and emotions.
Habitual distractions: These are distractions that we've gotten into the habit of doing, such as checking our phone every few minutes or watching TV when we should be working.
Here are some tips I share on how to overcome distractions:
Identify your distractions. The first step to overcoming distractions is to identify what they are. Once you know what your distractions are, you can start to develop strategies for dealing with them.
Set boundaries. It's important to set boundaries around your time and attention. This means deciding when and where you're going to work on your goals, and then sticking to those boundaries.
Find a distraction-free environment. If you can, find a place where you can work on your goals without being interrupted. This could be a library, a coffee shop, or even just a quiet room in your home.
Take breaks. It's important to take breaks when you're working on your goals. This will help you stay focused and avoid burnout.
Reward yourself. When you reach a goal, reward yourself. This will help you stay motivated and keep working towards your goals.
