AZ Forest: committed to support biodiversity and human health
At AstraZeneca, we recognise the deep connection between health, nature and the climate.
Forests are vital to the health of people and the planet. That is why we’re expanding AZ Forest, our global reforestation programme, with a new goal to plant and maintain 200 million trees worldwide by 2030, contributing to climate action, restoring nature and promoting biodiversity. Alongside expert partners, local communities and governments, we’re planting trees in areas where forests have been depleted, bringing degraded land back to life and building community and ecological resilience.
Our new projects in Brazil, Vietnam, Ghana, Rwanda and India, are in addition to the 10.5 million trees already planted in Australia, France, Ghana, Indonesia, the UK and the US.
