AKP Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, who is sending his daughter to a luxury college, is now changing the high school education system. Tekin is working on two plans. The first plan calls for three years of high school to be compulsory, with the last year optional. The second plan calls for two years of compulsory and two years optional. This model also includes students graduating at 16. Those who wish can move on to vocational training, while those who wish can enter the workforce.
Experts accuse Tekin of turning education into a jigsaw puzzle.
