Fusion 360, for parametric CAD design of electronics enclosures, is a fantastic tool. In this series we learn a very useful set of skills that revolve around using fusion 360 as a powerful design tool for 3D printing.

In this video we design the volume dial for the enclosure.

Modelling in context, design for manufacture and parametric modelling are all very powerful tools that you will want to have if you are looking improve your skills in CAD. Parametric modelling allows you to make easy adjustments to you model by ensure that your geometry is suitably linked with dimensions and references. Design for manufacture is the application of knowledge of a manufacturing process to influence the design and optimise it for a process or set of processes. Modelling in context is an advanced technique used in the engineering industry where your models are design in the context of their higher level assemblies rather than just on their own origin in isolation.
