✒ GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE GAME:
Mario Kart 8 is Nintendo's eighth installment in the popular fun racer series and was first released in 2014 for the Wii U. As in the original version, the remastered port "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" allows you to drive on walls and ceilings in certain areas thanks to an anti-gravity feature. What might seem strange at first is actually a brilliant idea. Local multiplayer with up to 8 players is supported, as well as up to 4 players on one console. The game utilizes HD Rumble, brings back the double item boxes, and adds the Boo and Feather items. It also helps beginners with the Smart Steering system and offers comprehensive amiibo support. All but one of the characters, including brand new ones like Dry Bones, Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl, King Boo, and Bowser Jr., are playable from the start, and all cups are unlocked, including the DLC cups from the Zelda and Animal Crossing DLCs. With 48 race tracks and 8 battle arenas for the completely revamped competitive mode, which was the biggest weakness of the original Wii U version, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the most extensive and, thanks to its 1080p resolution and 60 FPS, the most beautiful Mario Kart ever. The game will be released on April 28, 2017, for the Nintendo Switch.
... Since March 18, 2022, the "Booster Track Pass" has been available for an additional €25 (or a Switch Online membership). This pass, which will be released in six waves, will add a total of 12 cups with 48 additional tracks by the end of 2023. All of the maps will be retro tracks from past Mario Kart titles or Mario Kart Tour (mobile).
