Inspired by Peter Carey's bestseller, this film calls into question all the mythology created around the myth about Ned Kelly's life, observing the past of violence in an entire society. We follow Ned's youth and observe his life until the end, noticing, from the protagonist's perspective, how much the fine line that separates right from wrong is distorted. Kelly's motivations are revealed and the tragedies surrounding her gang are brought to light in an intense and powerful way, starting with a mother's love for her child.
