RDP connects from the internet directly to the office through a firewall, exposing an entryway into their network. Random usernames and passwords can easily crack entry.
A VPN uses strong encryption and allows lockdown on usernames and passwords with a certificate of authentication. This denies hacker's entry even if they come up with the correct login ID and password combination. A VPN adds an additional layer of security to RDP, making it the winner in this knockout competition!
