TOKYO: SENSOJI TWILIGHT. 19 JUNE 2023. ASAKUSA KANNON TEMPLE.
After many previous visits to the Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, I discovered that visiting on a Monday afternoon was a nice change: the multitudes that visit on weekends, and, even more, on holidays, were entirely absent. The district of Asakusa area around the temple was lively and yet laid back on this perfect Monday, and as the video shows, the light and the colour of the sky were a perfect contrast to the brilliantly illuminated temple gate. This was my best visit to the Sensoji in a long time, perhaps ten years....
