In this video, we demonstrated the CFD simulation of water surface evaporation using ANSYS Fluent. Modeling phase change is complex, especially when standard models (like the Lee model) aren’t enough. We show you how to implement the Hertz-Knudsen equation through a User-Defined Function (UDF) to accurately calculate the mass transfer rate between liquid and vapor phases.
