If a Computer device does not work, then you should check in Bios to enable it. If you have a device that you do not need to use for any reason, then you can disable it at Bios.
In order to access BIOS menu, we must press a key when the system starts.
It could be F1 / F2 / F10 / DEL key.
This video shows some devices, that can be enabled or disabled in the Computer BIOS:
Enable / disable Onboard LAN controller
Enable / disable: PXE, HTTP support
Enable / disable: USB Keyboard or Mouse support for Operating systems such as MS-DOS
Enable / disable: USB Mass Storage support for Operating systems
Enable / disable: Virtual Technology support to install Virtual Machines on Host operating system
Enable / disable: All SATA controllers or individual SATA controllers
BIOS Menu, features and Appearance may change from one System to another depending on the Motherboard manufacturer, but
the functionality is same. In some old Motherboards, some of these options may not be available
