In this video, we'll learn how to verify if your MikroTik router allows a safe downgrade from RouterOS v7 to version 6. I'll guide you step-by-step, including how to manage the wireless package on devices with legacy (older) cards to avoid errors.

If you've updated and are experiencing slowness, incompatibility, or simply need to return to the stability of v6, this tutorial is for you.

📋 PREREQUISITES:

Computer with a wired network connection.

Winbox v4 (or the latest v3).

Active internet connection (to download the firmware).

Target MikroTik router.

Router backup (.rsc file).

⚠️ VALIDATION COMMAND:
Before attempting anything, verify the highest version your hardware supports by running this command in the terminal:
/system/device-mode/print

💡 IMPORTANT NOTE (WIFI):
If your router has older wireless cards (like the RB951G-2HND in the video), you must select the "wireless" package to uninstall before performing the downgrade.
