2009 Tony Awards Opening
Casts of musicals that opened during the 2008-2009 season kick off the 2009 Tony Awards with a medley of songs from their respective shows. Songs and performers include:

(3:27) "Nothin' But a Good Time" from ROCK OF AGES – The company, joined onstage by Brett Michaels and '80s rock band Poison.
(4:53) "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered" from PAL JOEY – Nominee Stockard Channing / "I'm Alive" from NEXT TO NORMAL – Aaron Tveit.
(6:05) "Freak Flag" from SHREK: THE MUSICAL – Nominees Brian d'Arcy James, Sutton Foster, and Company.
(7:06) "9 to 5" from 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL – Allison Janey, Stephanie J. Block, Megan Hilty, and Company, with a special appearance by nominee Dolly Parton.

(9:24) "Let the Sun Shine In" from HAIR – Nominees Gavin Creel and Will Swenson and Company, with the entire assembled company of performers from the opening number.
