We rented a car in Cyprus using a Russian bank card for 6 days. The total cost was around 180-190 euros.
Where is the best place to rent a car in Cyprus in 2025? Ideally, book in large cities (Larnaca or Limassol) as this will provide the best value. It's best to return the car where you picked it up.
Renting a car in Cyprus without a credit card is entirely possible. Moreover, you can do so with a Russian card, and leave the deposit (if any) in cash and collect it immediately upon return. To reserve a car in Cyprus, you can pay 15% with a Russian or international card, and then pay the rest in cash or by card upon pickup. If you want full insurance without a deposit, you'll have to pay extra! Therefore, I generally choose a car with comprehensive insurance, but with a deductible, to make it cheaper (I explain how this works in the video).
What do you need to rent a car in Cyprus and how much does it cost? Car rental prices in Larnaca start at 20-25 euros, depending on the season! The price depends on the city, insurance, transmission, and year of the car.
