A South Korean appeals court has found the captain of the Sewol ferry guilty of homicide, and increased his sentence to life in prison. Captain Lee Joon-seok was in charge of the ferry when it sank in South Korean waters last April killing 304 people, 250 of which were school children. Last November, he was found guilty of negligence by a lower court and sentenced to 36 years in prison.
