The recent emphasis on computational thinking in the 2020 Ontario Curriculum for Grades 1-8 Mathematics has spurred much critical reflection among educators. Conrad Wolfram, author of recently published The Math(s) Fix, will be joined by Ontario-based leaders in research on Computational Thinking, and MathEd Forum participants this month to consider how this piece of the curriculum fits into the efforts to make mathematics increasingly relevant for all students in a world where computation is ever-present.
