MY FIRST ICE 2021/2022 | Ice Fishing Splake | Catch and Cook
What a great feeling to get back onto the hard water! Armed with only a #acmehyperglide, #Ion auger and #13fishing rod I go hard after stocked trout on my first day ice fishing this 2021/2022 season. It was a beautiful day with an amazing ending!
Keep watching after the fishing for a #catchandcook where I try a new recipe for trout. Honestly I prefer to eat the other popular local game fish like walleye, crappie, perch, pike, etcetera. but with this new way of cooking I may be keeping more trout in the future to cook.
Target fish in this video is splake. A stocked hybrid between Lake Trout and Brook Trout (a.k.a. speckled trout, that's where the SP in splake comes from). I hope you enjoy the video! Cheers and tight lines!
