I recently purchased a Suzuki Taishōgoto, an electric Japanese harp. It has 5 strings; two low ones tuned to the low G on a guitar and three higher ones tuned to the open g string on a guitar. One of the low strings is a drone string, unaffected by the notes 'fretted' with the left hand.
I learned about this instrument after seeing Ludowic's amazing piece with the instrument: • LudoWic - Recording suzuki taisho koto
My trusty Squier Baritone Jazzmaster is put to good use as well.
Gear used for the Taishōgoto and Baritone guitar:
-Diamond Comp Jr
-Electro Harmonix Soul Food
-Line 6 HX Stomp
-Strymon Big Sky (spring reverb)
