What is Beamforming in Wireless Communication?

In this video, I explain the fundamentals of beamforming by using a simple analogy of signals as ripples across water. Just like in water waves, the signal strength gets attenuated with distance. But beamforming can extend the range using multiple antennas directing weak ripples into targeted powerful waves at the receiver.

In short, beamforming means adjusting phase (timing) and amplitude (power) across each transmit antenna to align signals constructively at the receiver.
