NCAA Rules considers all defenders on an outnumbered break as secondary defenders. Was the NCAA rule properly applied?
NCAA Rule 4-36.5 says:
In an outnumbering fast-break situation, any defensive player(s) initially shall be a secondary defender. The designation as a secondary defender shall not prevent from establishing legal guarding position on an offensive player and defending the player all the way to the basket, including the Restricted Area Arc.
