In this video, I show you how to create a new Property Package for DWSIM that uses the Wilson Activity Coefficient model to calculate liquid phase fugacities.
When inheriting from ActivityCoefficientProperty Package, one only needs to create a model class that calculates the activity coefficients, excess enthalpy and excess heat capacity for the liquid phase. All the other properties are calculated by a default set of methods, shared by all Activity Coefficient-based Property Packages in DWSIM. The phase distribution is calculated by the default flash algorithm. The default methods can always be overridden at the developer's discretion.
