Google Cloud and HPC
Google engineers will discuss Google Cloud and HPC as it relates to large cloud-based storage. We invite all EHT collaboration members and PIRE senior partners, students and others interested in the ability of Google HPC to effectively support the data storage needs of large computational projects. This will be an open conversation to explore possibilities for a joint collaboration with Google so that all interested collaborators have the opportunity to learn more about how this might work, gain insight, and ask questions.
We have asked Google engineers Edward Doan and Sarosh Naseem to overview the Google cloud computing platform and discuss how it might solve our diverse computational challenges, talk about what is currently possible within the industry along with developments on the horizon, and take questions from all attendees.
