Batman is in trouble! He is so fatigued that he can no longer tell apart what is a gargoyle and what isn't.
This game has an interesting loophole with the Explosive Gel. If you're on a gargoyle with Gel selected, then press aim and detonate in a quick succession, Batman will stand up briefly as the game makes him do a ground animation. Normally this is pretty harmless and only messes up the quick batarang attack animation, but do this with a certain timing (helps to do it twice in a row with a break in between) and Batman does a break-out.
Now Batman is standing on top of the gargoyle instead of being perched. He is in a mixed state between being on gargoyle and being on ground. You cannot run or press aim button or else the glitch will end, but normal attacks are fine.
Batman will have his gear out as if you were holding the aim button. You can switch to other gear, and Batman will enact the different animations for them using the Gel. You can't use any of the gear, though. Switching to a non-standard batarang makes Batman freeze on the spot - only attacks can move him around until you switch back to other gear. Finally, switching to basic batarang causes Batman to become perched on ground, and he acts exactly like being on a gargoyle, other than that he can't Glide or Hang at the moment.
Starting the glitch disables quick batarang entirely. If you try to re-start the glitch with quick batarang disabled, you get a different glitch variation instead where Batman just stands on the spot uselessly.
To use Glide and Hang options on ground level, you have to have Batman drop off the gargoyle while he is perched. This is infuriating to do as you have to walk at the very edge of the gargoyle before switching to batarangs and hoping he falls off. Also, if Batman enters the falling animation even for a moment during this time, you have to start all over again. Also...! Batman has a tendency to get tangled on some collision if you drop him off as perched. If he does fall against something for long enough, he dies miserably. Well, as your reward... Doing Glide is basically like a small jump wherever you want, hard to say if that could come in handy somewhere. Hang means that Batman teleports back to the gargoyle he started off from, which is pretty cool.
You can take this glitch with you to other rooms too, as long as you remember to not run or aim by accident at any point. I only tried it once, but the options to Glide and Hang disappeared once I switched rooms, so crazy schemes about teleporting back inside unloaded rooms might not work out.
Throwing a batarang while perched or doing the Gel loophole again can make Batman zip around. This seems to be a much smaller zip than the corner cover zip, but it has the advantage that you can (in most cases) decide to what direction you zip to! If you started this glitch like normal, Batman zips towards the same coordinate he does during a corner cover zip. However, if you started the glitch by falling off the gargoyle while perched, Batman will zip towards the gargoyle instead. Being able to control your zip direction seems a pretty promising concept.
One final thing that is pretty cool about a gargoyle break-out is that you are able to use gear while on the gargoyles. You can for instance use a Line Launcher on a gargoyle and perhaps even get out of bounds in some map thanks to it.
