The former regent in question is AG, the former Regent of Dharmasraya, West Sumatra.
AG, the former regent, managed to escape when the mob raided his hotel room with the young man.
The raid began with the receptionist becoming concerned about suspicious noises coming from the room occupied by the former regent and the young man.
The receptionist then alerted local youths, prompting a crowd of residents to flock to the hotel room.
