Grandia Xtreme was released for the ps2 in 2002!
The fictional world of Grandia Xtreme is populated by three races: the militaristic and resource-rich humans; the pointy-eared Arcadians, characterized by their magic; and the Hazman tribe, who are animal-like beings. At the beginning of the game, these three races have formed an alliance for several years, but a natural disaster, the Elemental Disorder , threatens this alliance. In response, the humans and their Nortis army focus on researching the cause of this disturbance. They try to call on representatives of the other races for help, but they become suspicious, believing that this disaster was artificially created.
The player takes on the role of Evann, a young Ranger who wishes to activate the technology of certain ruins on his world. Evann has trained himself and has become proficient with a sword since his father's death, but has not developed a proper work ethic. He experiences a series of events that lead him to investigate the cause of the elemental disturbance, uncover the military's true intentions, and uncover the hidden secrets of the ruins.
