In this video, we demonstrate the MATLAB Simulink simulation of an AC to DC center tapped full wave rectifier using two diodes. The objective of this simulation is to convert AC supply into pulsating DC using a center tapped transformer and diodes.

The model is built in Simulink using Simscape Electrical (Specialized Power Systems). A 230 V, 50 Hz AC voltage source is applied to a center tapped transformer (230/12-0-12 V). Two diodes are used for rectification and a load resistor is connected to observe the output voltage.

During the positive half cycle of the input AC signal, Diode D1 conducts, and during the negative half cycle Diode D2 conducts. This allows both halves of the AC waveform to be utilized, producing a full wave rectified output. The output waveform can be observed using the scope block in MATLAB Simulink.

This simulation helps students understand the working principle of a center tapped full wave rectifier, which is widely used in power electronics and DC power supply circuits.

Topics covered in this video:
• MATLAB Simulink rectifier simulation
• Center tapped transformer modeling
• Full wave rectification using two diodes
• AC to DC conversion
