List of Different Numbers Stations (1960s-1990s)
Numbers Stations are shortwave radio stations characterized by broadcasts of formatted numbers, which is believed to be some coded messages sent to secret agents in different countries. It's still unknown who and why they are broadcasting this but others believe its to sent messages also to the military, and even aliens in space! Numbers Stations come in all different languages like Czech, English, German, Bulgarian, Chinese, French and even Arabic. The earliest known use of numbers stations was in World War II which they used Morse code to send the messages over shortwave radio. Numbers Station codes could be instructions and telling the agent what to do and possibly secret information about countries. A man named Akin Fernandez started recording, collecting and archiving them which he called "The Conet Project," and released a 4 CD set of them. Experts still believe that numbers stations still exist.
