"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness... And above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (See Eph. 6:11-17)
Humility frees one from deception.
Only through humility can a person be delivered from all temptations that come.
The greatest sin is not believing in God.
Without humility It's practically impossible to be saved.
Our conscience is constantly unattended and uncared for.
Where pride and vanity exist, grace cannot dwell.
It's very difficult for us to abandon habits we've ingrained for years.
To find a foothold for grace in our hearts, to save our souls.
