What is an immediately invoked function in javascript?
The advantage of using an immediately invoked function in javascript, as opposed to a regular function call, is that you can call this function at runtime.
This means you don't have to wait for the user to interact with your application in order for the function to be called. Specifically, your app simply has to be loaded onto your browser and boom your desired function is called.
