The Only Vlog You Need for Sofia, Bulgaria | S9E3
This episode is a classic Sofia Sunday walk — with the added bonus of a Siberian breeze in the air. Cold, crisp, and absolutely no mercy… but the city was too beautiful to stop.
We begin in Central Park, starting with:
Temple of the Bulgarian Martyrs

From there we pass our north star — the NDK — and follow the city lines down to:
The Russian Monument in Sofia

We then drift toward the centre, until we’re pulled into a stretch of true Sofia street life — a local market walk around:
Stefan Stambolov Blvd Market
and the nearby:
Monument to National Revolutionaries from Macedonia and Thrace

The market delivers us out into one of Sofia’s most iconic crossings:
Lions’ Bridge

From there we head into a cobblestone time machine, stepping into the outstanding remains of Roman Sofia:
Archaeological remains of ancient Serdica
Археологическа експозиция „Антична Сердика“
And just beside it — one of the most special surprises in the city, quietly standing in the middle of the modern world:
Medieval Orthodox Temple of St. Petka Samardjiyska
Средновековен храм „Света Петка Самарджийска“
And nearby, one of the most surreal hidden gems in Sofia:
Ancient Orthodox Rotunda Church “Saint George”
Късноантичен храм-ротонда Свети Георги
We also catch a bonus cameo from one of Bulgaria’s legendary street dogs…
a scary-looking bear…
that turns out to be a full teddy bear. 🐻🤎
And to close the episode, we finish with a stare up toward the mountain from Vitosha Boulevard — because the next mission is calling.
