Computer networking, like life, is a journey of continuous learning and self-improvement. As Baron de Montesqueue famously said, “We receive three educations, one from our parents, one from our school masters, and one from the world. The third contradicts all that the first two teach us." In the world of networking, it is the third education that is the most important, as we become builders by building and troubleshooters by troubleshooting.
Just as there are 96 15-minute segments in a day, there are countless opportunities to develop our networking skills, whether it be through studying new protocols and technologies, experimenting with new configurations, or collaborating with others in the field. Ex Nihlo E Pluribus, Unum Aut Viam Inveniam Aut Faciam Nihil Timendum Est Vivre Sans Temps Mort - out of nothing, many things; I will either find a way or make one, and there is nothing to fear in living without dead time.
