I Was a Yazidi Slave: Escaping Iraq to Germany (Documentary)
In August 2014, the Islamic State invaded Yazidi territory in Sinjar, northern Iraq. Young Yazidi women were separated from older women and taken to the Galaxy Cinema in Mosul. There, they were tortured and raped. The film tells the story of Shirin and Lewiza, two Yazidi women captured by the Islamic State who managed to escape to Germany.
