Houston Thunderstorms from a Golden Eagle 421
This video was taken over Houston, Texas during a thunderstorm. The lightning was amazing. The shelf of clouds created by the front was like nothing I have ever seen, and probably never will again. Max and I had a blast piercing through a break in the storm to get back to our home airport.
This plane is a Cessna 421C Golden Eagle. If you are in the market for a twin Cessna, I recommend https://www.hangar67.com/aircraft-for.... The 421 is a great family plane. Carry all the luggage you need. You are pressurized and flying above a lot of the weather, but not all. The cabin itself is really spacious.
Some people complain of the 421 having geared engines but this is a non-issue. Treat the engines per the POH and you will never have a problem. I loved this plane but more than the plane, I loved the adventures like the one I caught in this video.
