Hello everyone welcomes back to the channel, Church here, today, I'll be talking about the legend "Caustic" and how to properly use him. The first thing you need to know is he's a defensive character, now you have to play 'Caustic' defensive and not offensive, he has access to two defensive abilities, one being his toxic traps, you can throw down 3 before a cooldown after that you can place 3 more adding up to a total of 6 gas traps you're able to place down, if you place anymore after 6 the first one will disappear. The gas traps can be triggered by the enemy in a small vicinity, your gunfire and enemies gunfire can also trigger these traps, the best way to use these traps is to place them near doors or in areas where the enemy won't have direct visual on them, you can also use them offensively as well, you can throw them at enemies to try and blur their vision, the gas cannot damage you or your allies, you'll also get a green highlight vision on enemies that are in your gas, if the traps are activated they'll last for 15 ticks before deactivation.
Ultimate
Your ultimate ability is a gas canister that you can throw like a grenade. This will explode into a blanket of gas with a bigger radius then the traps, it'll also last a bit longer.
How To Use This Character
The best way to use this character is in a defensive manner, for example, you are engaging enemies and there's a house nearby, your best bet is to enter that house, lay down traps and bait your enemies in. You can also use the character in an offensive manner as you can throw the traps quite far, for example, while pushing your enemy, before making contact you can throw a few traps and blur their vision and provide a bit of supporting fire for your fellow teammates. Another way you can use your abilities is you can use to as smoke cover, the best thing I like to do when a teammate gets downed is to place down a gas trap and shoot it providing me with smoke cover. Be aware that Caustic is not the fastest character, he has base movement speed, so don't try and use speed as an advantage.
