In March 2020 the world stopped spinning on its axis as COVID-19 hit and we were all asked to stay home. In an effort to connect hearts and minds during these scary times; musician, mindfulness expert and mental health advocate Niall Breslin sent 400 ukuleles to people cocooning at home to teach them an instrument for the first time.

After six lessons, these budding players joined Irish band The Blizzards and a raft of other musicians and singers to remotely record the world's first ever remotely recorded lockdown ukulele single. The video was shot during the lockdown period in Mullingar, Co Westmeath. Drones said hello to those cocooning in their garden while the ukulele players sent in self-shot videos of themselves.
This is the Lockdown Ukulele Rockdown.
