I often don't get a ton of direction on what to compose, so the times I feel like my team probably needs more tracks than they're asking, I end up making some random PC-98 arranges (I have a bias towards the composition of PC-98 over Windows Touhou songs). None of my fellow fans would even consider anything PC-98, so it'd be something unexpected for a player.
I think it adds a kind of uniqueness to the experience.
