Prime lens vs Zoom lens. When Prime is king, these are the scenarios a prime lens is best.
As long as there are wildlife photographers, the debate of Prime lenses vs Zoom lenses and which is best will exist. So which is better? What lenses do I need for wildlife photography? What lens is best for wildlife photography? In this week's video we're going to dive into the topic, I'll review some of the technical reasons a prime can outperform a zoom lens as well as some of the scenarios in which I prefer to use a prime lens over a zoom lens.

Cameras and lenses are simply tools to be utilized by each photographer in the manner they see to be best. Something I love about photography is there's no right or wrong answer as to which gear to use. If you understand the strengths and weaknesses of different types of lenses, in which scenarios they'll outperform the other and what type of wildlife photography you prefer, you can make an educated decision on what type of lens will be best for you. And if you can't afford the option right now, save up and borrow or rent lenses in the meantime.
