By far one of my favorite tracks in the game. It's so pretty, with the chords and the instrumentation. I love the use of the Cackletta leitmotif briefly in the harpsichord part, and how well it meshes with the original melodies. Also part of the harpsichord part sounds like one of the tracks from Super Paper Mario. Maybe Bleck's theme or Castle Bleck? Overall I just love this piece. Had a lot of fun working on it.
Also, eagle-eared listeners (what??) will notice some changes I made to this piece. This being one of my favorite tracks, I gave it a tiny bit of extra polish. Namely in the part that features the harpsichord. Leading into that section, I added a timpani roll. Then that whole section, instead of being accentuated by a single tom/taiko drum, I gave that part to the bass drum and timpani to give it some extra oomph. On top of that, instead of dropping the bass instruments (except bassoon) like in the original, I instead reinforced the bassoon part with low strings and tuba to give it a little extra punch. All this serves to accentuate my favorite section of the piece and to really give that part a truly epic feel, that really pumps you up for the final battle.
