The opening is not only a tribute to eagle wood, deeply rooted in Arab culture, but also to one of the world's most luxurious spices: saffron. It smells bitter, tangy, and spicy, like the wind from the sandy deserts of Morocco, and transports us to completely alien worlds.
Gao captures precisely this characteristic of saffron and combines its already exotic fragrance with the finest oud from the producing regions of Thailand and Laos.
If Gao were a color, it would be as black as a starless night.
The blend of Indian grass, cedar, juniper, and gurjum, which predominates in the heart, blends with the spicy and woody notes. An illusion of Arabian spice markets emerges. Merchants put their most prized wares on sale, and esteemed customers perfume themselves with traditional oud oils. The scorching heat intensifies these distinctive aromas.
