Photographer vs White Sands National Monument

I got the chance to do some photography at White Sands National Monument in New Mexico, and it was a bit of a challenge to be honest. It's not the easiest place to photograph. Not only is it a massive area, but since all the dunes are white, it's really hard to photograph in a way that you can give White Sands any sort of scale.
Even when I photographed White Sands in all the right ways, it still didn't exactly come out as I wanted. You see, even professional photographers struggle with these things. Photography is not only an art, but a trade and if you don't have both the trade and the art working right on a given day, it can be tough.
