How do I force a Windows Update to stop
1: stop The windows update service
Open the Run command Win + R in it kind: offerings. msc and press enter.
From the services listing which seems locate the home windows replace provider and open it.
In Startup kind beneath the preferred tab alternate it to 'Disabled'
Restart.
