The rate of gun deaths in Nevada is the 14th highest in the United
States. With a mortality rate of 16.3 per 100,000 people. In an
average year, 486 individuals die in Nevada. One of Nevada's 17
counties, Clark County is home to the state's largest metropolis, Las
Vegas. 15.5 per 100,000 people are killed by firearms in the region.

We evaluate or rate cities crime in each state with statistics, for
example, those provided by FBI crime statistics data. They provide
crime rate and demographic data. Also, the crime reports are analyzed,
giving the statistics compared to other cities.
5 Most Dangerous Cities in Nevada
Generally, Nevada is a beautiful area to live or stay. However, every
state has both extremely safe areas and risky cities. Here are the top
five most dangerous cities, beginning with the city with the highest
crime rate and decreasing order.
Las Vegas
In the United States, Las Vegas is the 26th most populous city. This
city gained the moniker "Sin City" due to its tolerance for various
sorts of adult entertainment. The mega-casino, clubs, and AAA Five-
Diamond hotels in the city have earned international acclaim.
The population of Las Vegas is projected to be 651,124 in 2021, with a
total area of 135.86 square miles. In terms of crime, it is 34.07 %
more than the national average. The violent crime rate is 531 per
100,000, ranking the city fourth most dangerous in violent crimes.
Murder and assault take a higher rate in violent crimes. Eventually,
the Homicide rate spiked to 69% in 2021.
Property crime is rising in Las Vegas and around the country,
particularly during this pandemic. The city is ranked most dangerous,
with 2,771 property crimes per 100,000. Motor vehicle, burglary, arson
and larceny, these four crimes are composed under one category of
property crime.
North Las Vegas
With an annual growth rate of 2.56% with a population of 265,224, the
city has an 88% greater crime rate than the rest of the state's
cities. In North Las Vegas, you have a 1 in 34 risks of becoming a
victim of crime or violence.
The city is the most dangerous in violent crimes, with 863 Violent
crimes per 100,000. Assault with the highest number, rate per 1,000 is
6.33, and the report total is 1,596. Robbery, rape and murder follow,
respectively.
Motor vehicle theft has the highest number of reported cases as
property crimes, with 721,885 reports total, the rate per 1,000 is
4.43. Property crime per 100,000 is 2,035 making the city the sixth
most dangerous in property crimes.
Reno
In 1868, the city of Reno was officially established in the state of
Nevada. It is very well known for its tourism industries and casino,
and it is Nevada's third most populous city. The city has a population
of 268,509, estimated in 2021.
The city is positioned as the third most dangerous city in violent
crimes, 557 per 100,000 violent crimes. Reno has decreased both
violent and property crime over the last five years. With an 18% crime
index, safer than other U.S. cities.
Theft with the highest comprehensive report. Property crimes in Reno
rate per 1,000 in burglary category are 3.24, theft 13.43, and motor
vehicle theft 4.66. The statistic shows the city is the fifth most
dangerous in property crimes.
Elko
Elko is located in Elko County, Nevada. Inventively, the city was
named by Charles Crocker, a superintendent of railroad construction,
because of the plentiful elk in the high desert. Elko began as a
construction camp along the Central Pacific Railroad in 1868.
