What is Point Shapefile?
A point shapefile is a common geospatial data format used in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It represents geographical points, which are typically defined by their latitude and longitude coordinates on the Earth's surface. Point shapefiles are used to store and visualize locations of specific points of interest, such as landmarks, cities, sampling locations, or any discrete geographic entity that can be represented by a single coordinate pair.

Each point in a point shapefile is typically associated with attributes stored in a database table, such as the name of the location, its type, or other relevant information. This allows users to not only display the points on a map but also analyze and query them based on their attributes.

What is Polyline/Line Shapefile?
A Polyline or Line shapefile is another common geospatial data format used in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It represents linear features, such as roads, rivers, pipelines, boundaries, or any other continuous line-based geographic entities.

What is Polygon Shapefile and it represents?
A Polygon shapefile is a type of geospatial data format used in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to represent and store geographic features that cover an area. It is characterized by closed loops of vertices (points) that define the boundary of the polygon.
