Remembering Tater Tot
I found Tater Tot passed away on one of her levels on May 26th, this was very unexpected but I do know she had a great life. Tater Tot was purchased from PetSmart on January 19th, 2018 for an 8-year-old boys birthday. She was placed in a 10-gallon tank with the bare necessities and after a week the boy became bored of her. 5 months later I found Tater Tot's ad on Kijiji and I made the decision to adopt her and bring her into my home. I spent days taming her and working on her being timid, patience really paid off because she was such a friendly hamster after. Based off of when she was purchased I assume she was 1.5 Years old or even older because we do not know how long she was at PetSmart for.
I am quite sad about the situation and videos will resume back next Saturday. Yes, I will eventually get another hamster. I often get questions like "if their death makes you so sad why do you keep getting more!!!" hamsters are so neglected in the pet trade, being able to give them a proper home with a large cage, great food, deep bedding to burrow in makes me happy. If I can help give a hamster a great life that makes me more happy than sad.
