What FreeIPA is?
FreeIPA is an open‑source Identity Management (IdM) system that combines several core technologies into one integrated platform:
LDAP directory (389 Directory Server)
Kerberos for Single Sign‑On (SSO)
Certificate Authority (Dogtag CA)
DNS server (BIND with IPA plugin)
NTP, SSSD, Web UI, CLI tools
It is the upstream project for Red Hat Identity Management (IdM).
