Uncommon Functions and MIDI Hacks with Ableton Live's Stock Looper
The stock looper in Ableton Live has a lot going on beyond the "usual" live looping functions. Lurking under the hood are more obscure features that tend to go largely unexplored, even by more advanced Ableton users. Here, we examine some of those possibilities, as well as a couple of MIDI hacks to squeeze some advanced functionality out of the Ableton looper, including Momentary Replace and Melodic Vari-Speed.
