SUKABUMI – An alleged case of domestic violence (KDRT) involving a stepmother against her 12-year-old stepdaughter occurred in Leuwi Nanggung Hamlet, Bojongsari Village, Jampangkulon District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.
The victim, a student at an Islamic boarding school in the Sukabumi area, allegedly experienced repeated violence at the hands of her stepmother. According to information gathered, the victim suffered serious injuries throughout her body and received intensive care at the hospital.
Before her condition worsened, the victim reportedly stated that a "mamah" figure was causing her pain. The victim's biological father was reportedly devastated after hearing his son's direct account of the alleged violence.
The victim allegedly suffered repeated torture, including beatings and being forced to drink hot water by the alleged perpetrator. During treatment, the victim's condition continued to deteriorate until she finally breathed her last at the hospital.
The alleged perpetrator is currently being detained by authorities for further legal proceedings.
This case serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting children and being vigilant in building a household, especially when involving children from previous marriages.
